Words of one of our writers; Tina Nagbare

Osay.-2

No official study has been conducted, but from my view there is a strong correlation between the intensity of social justice issues (police brutality, Flint water crisis, the 2016 election, etc.) and the lack of posts on Kennethology. Basically, when sh*t goes down, we don’t have the time to write whitty informative blog posts because we’re so utterly exhausted from battling ignorance on all forms of social media. You all just LOVE tagging us for help in heated debates with your ignorant friends, co-workers, and family members because you all know we come with receipts  and data… you know… logic and truthness. But after this terrible year that has been 2016 and the sh*tstorm that was 2015 – we’re #TAHD. Exhausted really. Personally, in the name of self-care I’ve had to set some boundaries on who and how I engage in debates / information sharing on the internet, but it’s hard because I truly want folks to have information to know their opinions are wrong. #dilemma To resolve this issue, I created a personal bank of “go-to” information, articles, videos, and even pictures to help with the more generic content (like: black-on-black crime because if you still fall for the myth of black-on-black crime in 2016… you truly aren’t worth my energy, I’d rather be drinking a V8 and I hate V8s, they’re disgusting but the phrase is still catchy). So anyways, below is our general arsenal of information. Use this as your first line of defense when arguing with idiots on the internet, if the conversation advances, then call us.

This is about 2 years in the making and we’ll continue to update over time. Bookmark it, refer to it as needed and if ever you see some foolishness on the interwebs or just want to increase learning for yourself… #enjoy J  If you see anything that would make a great addition let us know. (Note: I will reject all hotep-eque submissions ESPECIALLY anything from that fack-arse “Dr.” Umar Johnson).

Disclaimer: Personal experience has demonstrated that it’s best to share learning materials BEFORE engaging in any dialogue or debate with someone who doesn’t understand any of the topics below. If they truly want to understand, they’ll digest the materials below and come BACK to you with questions. If they simply want to tell you how to feel, speak, react, etc… they aren’t worth your time or energy. #carryon
